Emily Camp Photography

January is typically a slower time for photographers – I mean, who wants to be out in the freezing cold if you don’t have to be!  🙂  But I loved that I was able to do this family session after the hustle and bustle of Christmas but still everything be festive!  It was a bit chilly out (Miss A was a trooper in her short sleeved shirt!) but it wasn’t too terrible and we had a great time playing around the train station and exploring the store fronts.  I love the images we got and had a hard time choosing some to share!  Enjoy P Family!

I was so excited when this family contacted me last minute to have their family portraits done.  And so glad I had time to fit them into my schedule!  I had photographed their son last year when he was just 3 months (such a cutie!) and 6 months.  So I was so glad to hear from them this year at Christmas!  Aunt and Uncle even came along for the ride and got a few pictures with the little guy as well.  Uncle was the inspiration for the dandelion pictures – LOVE!  How to get an 18 month old to sit still?  In this case, give him a dandelion and act silly! 🙂

I love when I walk away from a session and just feel a vibe from the family that I was working with.  In the case of the M Family, I felt so much joy radiating from them.  Joy for each other, joy for that precious little boy and joy in life.  Thank you for that simple reminder, M Family.  Hope you cherish and enjoy your images of your sweet family!

 

For Thanksgiving this year, we made the trek up to Maryland (our home state) to spend time with family.  When my childhood friend posted on Facebook that she was looking for a photographer I couldn’t resist advertising myself.  🙂  I am SO glad that I got to spend time with these two and take their pictures on our old stomping grounds.  Mom and daughter are silly, sweet, gorgeous and so fun!  Enjoy your pictures, S&E!  Love you!

 

This adorable family just moved to the Triangle area – just in time for little man’s 2nd birthday!  We had a beautiful fall afternoon but little man was not all that interested in having his picture taken.  🙂  He was much more interested in walking and exploring – anything to avoid the camera!  But we persisted and managed to get some really cute shots.  Ones that definitely showed his personality at age 2!  You have a cutie, D Family!  Enjoy!
